A diversity statement articulates your values, experiences, and commitments concisely to equity, inclusion, and diversity. Like teaching philosophy, it communicates to institutions how your pedagogical practices will support diverse learning populations. In addition, you can speak to plans related to equity and inclusivity that can help institutions achieve their stated diversity missions.

This workshop consists of two parts, an asynchronous online component that must be completed before the live synchronous.

This workshop may be counted toward the diversity/equity/inclusion concentration of the Achievement in Pedagogy badge, offered through the Graduate Student Teaching Initiative. For more information, contact tahelp@pitt.edu.
