Won't You Be Our Neighbor?

Hi, neighbor! Did you know Pitt was part of Mister Rogers’ neighborhood?

Please join us in celebrating Fred Rogers’ creativity and his connections to—and impact on—the University. (For example, did you know that he was an adjunct professor in Pitt's Graduate School of Library and Information Sciences?)

  • Make a button! We’ll have button makers and Fred Rogers images from the University of Pittsburgh Library System's Mister Rogers' Neighborhood Collection.

  • Letterpress a postcard! We’ll have the press ready; you can press and go.

  • Design your own thank-you card! Thank one of the people in your neighborhood for the things they do that make them special to you.

Free cookies and hot beverages: bring your own cardigan and blue Keds!

Presented by the Center for Creativity and the University of Pittsburgh Library System, and part of Pitt’s Year of Creativity. Images from the Mister Rogers' Neighborhood Collection, 1955-2003, SC.1989.07, Archives & Special Collections, University of Pittsburgh Library System.
