Women in Information Technology (WIT) Speaker Series

This is a past event.

Pitt’s SHRS Health Informatics program is collaborating with UPMC to introduce three women working in the information technology field. Two of the women speakers graduated from the SHRS Health Informatics program. Please join us to hear their stories.

Lisa Maielli Systems Analyst - Technical Pro
School: University of Pittsburgh, B.S. - Health Information Management
Lisa graduated in 2011 with a BS in Health Information Management at Pitt so she is so excited to participate in this panel! Lisa had her last clinical rotation with the UPMC eRecord Physician Documentation team and as fate would have it, they had an open position after graduation so that’s where she started her journey with UPMC. Even though Lisa hasn’t formally transferred to a different team in the last 11 years, her role has evolved, and she has been able to work in so many parts of the inpatient EHR.

Liz Venturino Manager, Data Governence
School: Duquesne University, B.S.B.A. – Finance, Investment Management, Supply Chain Management
Elizabeth has been passionate about data governance since the start of her career as a data analyst. Her background in investment management and supply chain management drives her passion for data governance. She helps to lead the development, build-out, and implementation of data governance, information asset management activities across UPMC Insurance Services Division.

Anne Ward Systems Analyst, ITR
School: University of Pittsburgh, B.S. - Health Informatics
Anne graduated from Pitt in May with a degree in Health Informatics and is now in her first rotation of the ITR program. Anne is working on the Message Routing team under Kevin Stewart and has been enjoying the role so far! Anne is originally from Pittsburgh; she enjoys continuing to explore the city and recently started rock climbing in her free time. So far, Anne loves working at UPMC; she finds that everyone is so nice and helpful and there’s a ton of room to learn and grow professionally.
