About this Event
Pitt IT offers a monthly series for women who work in—or plan to work in—technology at the University of Pittsburgh. Join us on the 2nd Wednesday of each month to learn and network to enhance your career at Pitt.
Join us in July for an interactive conversation with Heather Leier Murray, Senior Research Analyst at Info-Tech, about developing a growth mindset. As leaders – we need to think differently and think past what is known to learn what can be known. Dweck’s theory explains two mindsets “fixed” and “growth” to describe the underlying beliefs people have about learning and intelligence. Fixed believing that our abilities are innate and defined -- growth believing we’re able to improve and build upon our abilities. The research shows that the growth mindset, gets results. During this session we will explore beliefs that underpin our actions, looking at how using a growth mindset can help us solve challenges and how to manage our mindset.
