The School of Computing and Information (SCI) would like to invite you to attend our Women in Computer Science Start (WiCStart)! This free week-long program from August 23rd- August 27th is designed to introduce you to the fields of computer science and information science so that you can better understand what these disciplines are all about AND meet the SCI and Pitt community in a no-pressure environment. You will get a broad overview of topics in CS and IS and hear from female members of industry (previous years have included speakers from Google, BNY Mellon, Facebook, and more) who can introduce possible career paths in computing and information fields. This is an opportunity to hear about the benefits of being a woman in tech and a student in SCI and make some connections before classes even start!
Monday, August 23 at 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
Sennott Square, Room 5317
