This panel will address the challenges that abortion seekers and providers have faced since the Dobbs v. Jackson decision, focusing on how we’ve persisted in the fight for reproductive justice.

We’ll explore:

 

  • The current political landscape in Pennsylvania and its impact on reproductive healthcare.
  • The role of education in helping communities understand the legislative process affecting their reproductive rights.
  • The power of storytelling and sharing personal experiences in shaping public perception and advocacy.
  • Current and upcoming policies that could either harm or benefit our communities’ access to care.

 

By sharing our experiences and educating our communities, we can continue to empower one another and work toward a future where reproductive rights are protected for all.

 

Panelists include;

  • Sue Frietsche – Executive Director of the women’s law project. Will speak on the importance of policy and understanding the legislative system in our country in regards to abortion rights 
  • Greer Donley – Associate Dean for Research and Faculty Development will speak on the impact of abortion bans on other aspects of reproductive healthcare. 
  • Sofia Sunseri – Grassroots Activist. Planned Parenthood – will speak on policy issues (grassroots education) 
  • Nikkole Terney and Colby Bell –  Allegheny Reproductive Health Center – Will speak on advocacy and how to get engaged with assisting at a grassroots level
