About this Event
This free virtual screening of the movie My Ascension is being offered in partnership with Ray of Hope, Mental Health America-Southwest Pennsylvania, and the Pitt-Greensburg chapter of Active Minds.
My Ascension is a documentary film produced to spread hope and fight suicide. It tells the story of Emma Benoit, a 16-year old varsity cheerleader who was paralyzed after a suicide attempt. Her experience propelled her on a mission to use her painful experience to help others find hope and to shine more light on the fact that 20 young people die every day by suicide in the United States.
Trigger Warning: This movie deals with suicide. Please access these local and national resources if you need help.
