About this Event
If you are new to recording video or you would like to learn basic techniques, this workshop is for you! Join us for an experience that engages participants in completing online modules via Canvas to learn the fundamentals, before practicing your own video recording skills. Get feedback from other workshop participants and join in real-time Q&A with a video production expert during the live Zoom portion of the experience. Through this hybrid workshop, you will learn how to compose a shot well, taking into account positioning, lighting, and audio quality.
This workshop is a collaboration between the University Center for Teaching and Learning and the University Library System. If you seek knowledge about creating effective educational videos for a class you are teaching, the Teaching Center can also provide additional targeted training and resources: contact teaching@pitt.edu.
Please let us know if you require an accommodation in order to participate in this event. Accommodations may include live captioning, ASL interpreters, and/or captioned media and accessible documents from recorded events. At least 5 days in advance is recommended.
