As part of the Veterans’ Affinity Group launch, join keynote speaker Charlie J. O’Connor, Managing Director and Executive Advisor, TIAA – one of the nation’s largest financial services firms – as he discusses the significance his military background has had throughout his 50-year leadership journey. He will talk about how veterans can influence business results through core values, shared mission and teamwork.

Charlie is a retired Air Force Colonel who has also been a senior Defense Department representative, acting Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense, and the Inspector General for the buying arm of the Air Force – overseeing a $37 billion annual budget.

This event is hosted by the TIAA Difference Makers 100 Program and the Office of Human Resources, and is endorsed by Pitt’s Faculty and Staff Affinity Groups.
