Shari Rogal, MD, MPH, John J. Fung/Astellas Pharma US, Inc. Assistant Professor of Transplant Surgery and assistant professor of surgery and of medicine, Division of Gastroenterology, Hepatology, and Nutrition, will deliver a Provost’s Inaugural Lecture, “Using Implementation Science To Improve Care for Patients with Chronic Liver Disease,” at 4 p.m. on Monday, June 24, in Lecture Room 6, Scaife Hall.
The Provost’s Inaugural Lecture series invites University of Pittsburgh faculty members to give a lecture marking their recent appointments to endowed chairs. Dr. Rogal’s research focuses on the uptake of evidence-based practices for treating liver disease and on how pain, opioid use, mental health, and addiction affect liver disease patients.
A reception with light refreshments will follow the talk.
