About this Event
Our second Steel City Health Careers Diversity Conference will take place on Friday, April 3rd and Saturday, April 4th, 2020. The program is for undergraduates and high school students and includes panels of admission experts and health professions students, a recruitment fair and special guest speakers. The event will feature the School of Medicine; School of Pharmacy; School of Dental Medicine; School of Nursing; Graduate School of Public Health; School of Health and Rehabilitation Sciences (which inlcudes Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Physicians Assistant, Rehabilitation Science and Technology, Communication Science and Disorders, and more).
Complimentaty motorcoach transportation is provided from Howard, Morgan, UMBC, Lincoln, Cheyney, Arcadia, Central State, and Wilberforce Universities. A room block is held at the Wyndham Pittsburgh University Center hotel.
The events on Friday, April 3rd, will take place at the Wyndham Pittsburgh University Hotel, located at 100 Lytton Avenue, Pittsburgh, PA 15213 (across from the Cathedral of Learning). The evening begins at 5:45 pm and will conclude at 10:00 pm.
The events on Saturday, April 4th, will take place at the UPMC Conference Center located in Scaife Hall on the 11th floor. Scaife Hall is located at 3550 Terrace Street, Pittsburgh, PA 15261 (across from the Petersen Event Center). The event will begin at 8:45 am and concludes at 4:00 pm.
