Understanding Nonlinear Surface Water Waves on Deep Water

The Dietrich School of Arts and Sciences Department of Mathematics invites you to a lecture by Penn State University Professor Dr. Diane Henderson,  on Friday, October 15, at 3:30 p.m. in the University Club, Ballroom B. This lecture, part of the Edmund R. Michalik Distinguished Lecture Series in Mathematical Sciences, is entitled "Understanding Nonlinear Surface Water Waves on Deep Water," and looks at experiments conducted over the last seven decades in which waves created by large storms were tracked and replicated in laboratories.
