Network analysis is a common research method in many disciplines, used to study social or historical networks as well as the spread of disease, complex species interaction, logistics networks, and more. This workshop introduces the basics of visualizing network graphs using Gephi, a free and open-source tool. This is Part 2 of a two-part workshop series; you may wish to join us on January 24 for Understanding Networks Part 1: Introduction to Network Analysis, where we will discuss the basics of finding and working with network data. If you are unable to attend Part 1 on January 24, you are still welcome to attend this workshop as we will revisit some basic network graph concepts before exploring graph layout algorithms and data visualization strategies in Gephi.
