Kristen Browde, J.D., will be presenting on her work regarding transgender rights disinformation as the first in a series of talks and workshops on the impact of disinformation on public discourse. Supported through Pitt's Year of Discourse and Dialogue, the William Pitt Debating Union is hosting several speakers on a range of topics related to disinformation campaigns and efforts. In each event, an invited speaker will provide insight into their work, advocacy, or method, in order to educate others about disinformation and its impact on society. Each event is open to the public and is co-hosted in partnership with the Duquesne Debating Society, Carlow University's Communication Program, Pitt-Bradford's Communications Program, and Speech at Pitt.
