Abstract: This presentation examines the history of a reproductive health clinic founded in the 1970s in Bogotá that provided comprehensive reproductive care and prioritized women’s life projects in reproductive decisions. Drawing on written and audiovisual materials—including records from allied US organizations like the Preterm Clinic and oral histories collected by the author—this study explores how the clinic combined perspectives from social medicine and Catholic theology to offer abortion services that were safe, humane, dignified, and accessible to all women.
