"Disability Policy: Beyond the Pandemic."

This is a past event.

U.S. Senator Bob Casey presents:

The Thornburgh Family Lecture Series on Disability Law & Policy.

The pandemic revealed many shortcomings of suppport for families, communities, businesses, and all aspects of U.S. society.  The effects of COVID-19 on members of the disabilitiy community were devastating.  The experience, however, created a clear path for us to build a strong, more resilient support network for people with disabilities, their families, and the services that support them.

U.S. Senator Bob Casey fights every day for Pennsylvania families.  He is a strong advocate for policies that improve the health care and early learning of children and policies that will raise wages for the middle class.  Senator Casey serves on four committees including the Senate Finance Committee, Senate HELP Committee and Senate Select Committee on Intelligence.  He is also chairman of the Special Committee on Aging, where his agenda is focused on policies that support seniors and individuals with disabilities.  Senator Casey and his wife Terese live in Scranton and have four adult daughters.

This lecture is sponsored by the Dick Thornburgh Forum for Law & Public Policy within the Institute of Politics.

Assisted by: Pitt Law, The School of Health and Rehabilitation Sciences, Pitt Honors and The Office of the Chancellor.
