Linda Liau, MD, PhD, MBA, chair and executive medical director of the UCLA Department of Neurosurgery and Director of the UCLA Brain Tumor Program, provides the honored guest lecture for the 16th Annual Stuart Rowe Society Lectureship and Resident Research Day.
An internationally renowned neurosurgeon and researcher, Dr. Liau is widely acclaimed for her pioneering research on clinical neuro-immunology and brain cancer immunotherapies. She has been the lead investigator on several novel clinical trials for brain cancer patients, and was the leader of one of the first personalized brain cancer vaccine therapies—an innovative experimental therapy that triggers the patient’s immune system to fight remaining cancer cells.
