About this Event
Provost's Diversity Institute for Faculty Development
In this inaugural session for the Institute the panel seeks to explore anti-LGBTQ+ legislation's implications for the University classroom.
With state legislators filing more than 340 anti-LGBTQ+ state laws for consideration, 150 of which target transgender people this rapidly changing landscape of anti-LGBTQ+ legislation nationwide has implications for university teaching and learning. This panel discussion addresses how these bills, often directed at K-12 students and educators, resonate through, and have consequences for higher education university classrooms.
