Students, stop fearing tomorrow! Join Frederick, Pitt and other local university students for The Tomorrow Summit. The Tomorrow Summit is a student-driven event that will be a space for connection, creativity, and collective growth through student showcases, performances, and community circles.

MEET OUR KEYNOTE SPEAKER: Dr. Kyaien Conner is a professor and Donald M. Henderson Endowed Chair, and director of the Center on Race and Social Problems in the Pitt School of Social Work. She is a clinical social worker, health equity researcher and social justice scholar. Her research focuses on the development and evaluation of clinical interventions top mitigate health and mental health inequities in underserved communities. The scholarship has 3 distinct and overlapping arms: 1) building capacity in underserved communities to address our own health challenges through lay health workers and trained peers; 2) cultural adaptations to EBP (including cultural art) to enhance their impact on health outcomes; and 3) studying the impact of racism and discrimination on health. She is also a professional West African dancer and am passionate about the role of art as health intervention and art as a form of social protest.
