hunger strike in U.S. history. The New York Times described the film as showing how “collective action leads to prison reform.” The film has aired nationally on PBS.

Jack Morris A Latino prisoner featured in the film, who spent more than 30 years in solitary confinement in California.
Dolores Canales A leader of family members supporting hunger strikers, also featured in the film, who spent 20 years incarcerated in California.
Professor Jules Lobel Lead counsel for the prisoners portrayed in the film in the related class action lawsuit.
