DESCRIPTION:Join us on January 15th from 5-6pm in the Hillman Library for t
he second installment of The Lenore Thomas and Laura Lovett GSWS and Studi
o Arts residency exhibition. There will be brief artist talks and the unv

of the library. More info below.\n\n \n\nThe Gender\, Sexuality\, and Wom
en’s Studies Program (GSWS) and the Department of Studio Arts (SA) are p
leased to present work from the second installment of the artist-in-reside
nce program from the Fall 2025 term.\n\n \n\nThis year\, we are proud to r
ebrand the residency as the Lenore Thomas and Laura Lovett GSWS and Studio
Arts Residency\, in honor of two extraordinary past chairs of SA and GSWS
\, respectively. Lenore and Laura were instrumental in establishing this p
rogram through their shared commitment to the arts and to amplifying diver
se student voices within our community. We are deeply grateful for their l
eadership and vision\, and we look forward to continuing this residency fo
r many years to come in their memory.\n\n \n\nFor this residency\, GSWS an
d SA majors and minors were invited to apply for the funded opportunity th
at was generously sponsored by the Dean’s office\, allowing students to
develop unique creative work for exhibition\, in response to explorations
in subject matter and methods relating to topics pertaining to GSWS studie
s with faculty mentors in both GSWS and Studio Arts.\n\n \n\nThis year’s
recipients of this award are Arohi Patil and Finley Sage Cardiff\, whose
work is on display in the Hillman Library throughout the Spring 2026 term.
\n\n \n\nThe residency is organized by Scott Andrew from Studio Arts\, wit
h mentors for this year’s residency including Melissa Catanese and Sean
Morrissey from Studio Arts and John Musser and Dominique Brown from the GS
WS Program. This residency is supported by the Dietrich School of Arts and
  Sciences Dean’s Office.
