Teaching Inclusively

This workshop introduces several principles of inclusivity and offers practical advice for fostering an inclusive university environment through your teaching. Through discussion and workshop exercises, you will learn how promoting and practicing inclusivity can improve learning outcomes and your relationship with your students, and how the two are closely related. This workshop also addresses ways to effectively articulate your philosophy of inclusion in teaching on job applications and in interviews.

Livestreaming option is available to regional campuses.

This workshop may be counted towards the Diversity portion of the Achievement in Pedagogy badge, offered through the Graduate Student Teaching Initiative.

NOTE: After this one and a half (1.5) workshop, participants will have the option of staying an additional half hour for consultation regarding a specific diversity, equity and inclusion teaching issue.

Registration for workshops is mandatory which ensures distribution of pre-workshop materials and accurate attendance records.

Please contact for any special accommodation needs.
