About this Event
Please join the University of Pittsburgh Department of Medicine Office of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, the UPMC Graduate Medical Education Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Subcommittee, and the Physician Inclusion Council at UPMC and Pitt (PICUP) as we host Taste of Culture.
Bring your family and friends along to our virtual cooking class with Pure Grub, a minority-owned business that embodies the concept of "nutrition as medicine". Pure Grub uses locally sourced organic ingredients to create delicious food that is gluten-free, dairy-free, and plant-based infused with inspiration from African and Caribbean cuisine. Pure Grub aims to be a gateway towards lifestyle change and uses its cuisine to educate as well as bring communities together through nourishment.
Pure Grub will be providing ingredient packages and a document of recipes for the virtual cooking class. Instructions on how to pick up your ingredient packages will be provided the week of the event by the event organizer.
Registration closes at the end of the day Friday, April 21st.
