About this Event
Does your thinking get caught in a trap of repetition and rumination creating undo worry and anxiety? Your thoughts should not be the enemy, but if you are a staff or faculty member at Pitt and you do feel challenged by overthinking, come to a discussion of "Stop Overthinking: 23 Techniques to Relieve Stress, Stop Negative Spirals, Declutter Your Mind, and Focus on the Present (The Path to Calm)" by Nick Trent. Note that this will be an online discussion via Zoom, hosted by the Mental Wellness Task Force and a professional therapist from LifeSolutions. Once registered, a meeting zoom link will be provided.
The first 20 people registered for the event will be eligible to receive a free copy of the book. For others, the book can be obtained from your favorite bookseller or your library. Feel free to attend the discussion, even if you haven’t read the book as discussion materials will be provided.
Please let us know if you require an accommodation in order to participate in this event. Accommodations may include live captioning, ASL interpreters, and/or captioned media and accessible documents from recorded events. At least 5 days in advance is recommended.
