Staff Council welcomes Laura Schmid, Director of HR Client Services at the University of Pittsburgh. Her Spotlight presentation will highlight some updates in the Office of Human Resources, including the reorganization of its Shared Services Department to HR Client Services.

With over 30 years of experience in higher education, she has worked in graduate and undergraduate academic affairs, faculty affairs, personnel management, and operations. Throughout her career, Laura has held a variety of positions with varying levels of responsibility in the Schools of Arts & Sciences, Bioengineering, Medicine, Business, Public Health and the Graduate School of Public & International Affairs before joining Human Resources in 2021.
