Shannon Reed is Director of Undergraduate Studies for the Creative Writing Program in the Department of English, and a Teaching Professor in the Fiction track there. She's the author of the best-selling Why We Read? On Bookworms, Libraries and Just One More Page Before Lights Out and the Thurber Prize in American Humor semi-finalist Why Did I Get a B? And Other Mysteries We're Discussing in the Faculty Lounge. Her next book is My Girls: The Iconic Girl Characters of Literature and How They Shaped Me which will be published in 2027.
