and motivations. Don't miss this chance to engage and learn.\n\nCome join

!\n\nKaren Sebolt earned an MBA from the University of Pittsburgh School of
Business\, subsequently gaining a CPA license and working for three large
health systems in audit\, finance and performance improvement during the 19
 90’s hospital mergers.\n\nThree small children\, dual-career travel demands
\, and 2400 miles from family support\, she made the decision to step away
from 15 years in the professional world. The next 15 years she volunteered
in the public schools\, local church\, art & music programs\, and Girl Scou
ts\; while directing family relocations from Texas to California to Virgini
a and finally back to Pittsburgh.\n\nIn 2017\, ready to thoughtfully reente
r the workforce\, Karen accepted a part-time docent position at Heinz Chape
 l. During the early days of the pandemic\, she was asked to lead Heinz Chap
el\, write public health and safety measures\, and reopen the Chapel for we
dding couples.\n\nToday\, Heinz Chapel is a natural fit with the Hospitalit
y division within Business\, Hospitality and Auxiliary Services (BHAS). Und
er Karen’s leadership\, the Chapel team focuses on innovative programming t
o engage students and the broader community\, operational efficiencies to s
upport the mission and stewardship of an architectural landmark\, and conti
nued excellence in customer service.\n\nThe opportunity to return to her al
ma mater and work in one of its most treasured buildings represents a meani
ngful full-circle achievement. Her highlight of the year is presenting the
Women in the Windows tour in March—an experience she developed to highlight
the remarkable women represented in the Chapel’s stained-glass and to cele
brate their lasting impact.\n\nKaren is a member of Pitt’s Mental Wellness
 Task Force.
