The Swanson School of Engineering is partnering with Vitalant to host our Pitt Engineering Blood Drives through February at Soldiers and Sailors Auditorium and UPMC Magee – Womens Hospital. These dates are for Soldiers; visit here for UPMC Magee.

To make an appointment:

• Visit vitalant.org and complete the registration form.
• NOTE: If you already have an account with Vitalant (formerly Central Blood Bank) enter the email address associated with your Vitalant account on the sign-up sheet.
• You will receive a response to “Schedule Now” to book your appointment.
• Prepare for your donation by eating a healthy meal and drinking plenty of water.  Remember to bring a photo ID with you.
• At the drive, provide Group Code CU190040 to the person who conducts your mini-physical so your donation will be counted for the Swanson School of Engineering.

Please participate in this lifesaving tradition by scheduling an appointment today - Vitalant is also testing blood donations for Covid-19 antibodies. CDC and PA protocols are mandatory for all donations. Face coverings must be worn, temperatures are taken, sanitizing stations are present, and social distancing of 6 feet applies.
