Seeing Music

Learn how to transcribe music in a creative, non-traditional way!

Bring along a song or a music piece you are working on or absolutely love. We'll discuss, explore and transcribe the music into a visualized masterpiece using materials from around the Workshop. Learn more about musical terms and styles, and talk about how they can be physically represented in creative and interesting ways!

Facilitated by Stephanie Jimenez, Center for Creativity: The Workshop. Stephanie spent most of her life studying piano, but has begun to focus on recycle art and to explore mixing music and visual art. She is the Community Outreach Executive Board member for the Latinx Student Association, and is pursuing dual degrees in environmental science and global and popular music.

This session is free and open to all members of the University of Pittsburgh community: students, faculty, and staff.  Pre-registration is required.

Tuesday, October 9 at 3:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
