Estate planning is one of the most important steps you can take to protect yourself and the people you love. Join us for this comprehensive session led by guest speaker Professor James Benedek of Pitt Law's Elder Law program. Prof. Benedek will cover the essential building blocks of a sound estate plan, including wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and advance directives, as well as probate basics, estate and gift tax considerations, and planning for major life events such as divorce or caring for minor children. We'll also address the growing importance of digital assets and online accounts, and highlight common estate planning mistakes to avoid. The session will close with a Q&A and open discussion, giving you the opportunity to ask questions and engage.
