This is part of a regional celebration of the 100th year of astronomy education in planetariums. Though the observatory domes are for looking out, rather than recreating the sky, the fundemental goal of sharing the wonders of astronomy with everyone is the same.
The likely schedule is:
3:00 - solar observing with the historic 13" telescope
4:00 - Meet the MoonTree with Ranger Merna
4:30 - "Women Who Looked Up" by Dr. Linda Kucan, University of Pittsburgh
Snacks
6:00- Information from Light - Student presentation by Conrad, Upper St. Clair
Tour of the Building
Evening observing.
