Public health agencies face unprecedented challenges in addressing an ever-broadening array of threats to population health. Against this backdrop, public health agencies’ recovery-phase activities are vital for facilitating the resilience of disaster-impacted communities. This presentation will describe the roles of public health agencies’ recovery-phase activities and highlight evidence-informed, relevant, practice-based considerations for public health workers in the context of disaster recovery.
