Racial trauma (or race-based traumatic stress) is the result of racism and discrimination. It includes psychological, physical, and emotional harm that is caused by witnessing or experiencing racism and discrimination. This workshop will explore the connection between the mind, body and spirit and a holistic approach to wellness through the four bodies (physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual). Promoting a sense of holistic wellness reminds us of our full humanity and helps us move from racial trauma to racial healing.
