The fourth session of the Library’s Fall R series builds on our familiarity with data frames and visualization to begin exploring inference and modeling in the R setting. With this introduction accomplished, the learner will be poised to dive into specific disciplinary questions in the future. Attending sessions 1🔗, 2🔗, and 3🔗 is strongly recommended. This session hopes to bridge existing, novice statistics knowledge with practical application in R; all levels of statistical expertise are welcome.

• Distribution and probability functions 

• One- and two-sample t-tests 

• Chi-squared tests 

• Linear models 

• Base R vs. tidymodels approaches
