Nigeria born and Dallas, TX raised, in five years with National Association of Campus Activities, his band D and Chi toured  the continent, playing 100+ college shows.  More recently CHIMA has shared stages with powerhouses like Ludacris, Ms. Lauryn Hill, Leon Bridges, and MAJOR and aired on the 2019 season of American Idol. The pandemic brought a sudden loss of Darren (D) and therefore changes to Chima’s music career, causing him to re-emerge under a new moniker KING CHIMA. With the release of his single DISCOVERING ft Justin Lyons (currently touring with Machine Gun Kelly) KING CHIMA offers a contemplative Soul Pop croon that leaves crowds mesmerized for hours on end.
