Playing With Poetry Forms

You might know your sonnets from sestinas, but did you know there's a poetry form based on the Fibonacci sequence? Ever heard of a lune? Experiment with new and old forms of poetry in this beginner's workshop that focuses on ways in which writing in form can help to free your creativity!

No prior writing experience required: amateurs and beginners welcome! Materials and supplies provided.

Facilitated by Erik Schuckers, Center for Creativity: The Workshop. Erik is a Pushcart Prize and Best of the Net nominee whose writing has appeared in Clockhouse, PANK, Impossible Archetype, Chelsea Station, and elsewhere.

This workshop is free and open to all members of the University of Pittsburgh community: students, faculty, and staff.

Sunday, November 4 at 1:30 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.

The University Store on Fifth, Center for Creativity: The Workshop
4000 Fifth Avenue, Pittsburgh, PA 15213
