The Pittsburgh Medical Device Professionals Monthly Networking Night: “Standing on the Shoulders of Giants” will take place on Thursday, March 26 from 5:30–7:30 PM in Room G27 of Benedum Hall at the University of Pittsburgh. Hosted by the Swanson School of Engineering’s Department of Bioengineering, the event brings together scientists, engineers, clinicians, entrepreneurs, executives, academics, and students interested in medical technology. The evening will feature networking opportunities, expert-led presentations, and discussions on the Pennsylvania MedTech ecosystem. Highlights include a talk by Bob Barker, founder of Pittsburgh Medical Device Professionals and former Philips Respironics leader, and a presentation by Pitt Bioengineering faculty Dr. Pratap Khanwilkar and Dr. Al Hirschman on the translational impact of Pitt Bioengineering and the Center for Medical Innovation. Refreshments will be provided.
