Pitt Welcomes NIH Panel: Diversity Supplements

Monday, October 30, 2023 9:00am to 10:30am

This virtual session is for all faculty and trainees interested in learning more about diversity supplements!

Diversity in the field of biomedical research is essential for teams to fully actualize their potential, accomplish their goals, and implement new ideas. Undergraduates through junior faculty from underrepresented populations, including those with disabilities and/or from disadvantaged backgrounds, as defined by NIH, are eligible for diversity supplements.

Hear presentations from representatives of NIH's institutes, then participate in smaller breakouts tailored to your needs:

  • Trainees, meet with one of the NIH representatives and get your questions answered.
  • Pitt faculty, meet with Diversity in Academia Working Group members to learn about the infrastructure at Pitt to help you succeed.
