About this Event
Our friends in the Academic Success Center will join us and talk about the academic rigor of the institution and walk you through the many online and people resources that you have to be academically successful at Pitt-Johnstown.
Your orientation leaders will offer you information about being academically successful while you are operating the Flex@Pitt model. We will cover the differences between high school and college, the contract you make with your instructor and their syllabus, how, where, and when to get support, and what you can do to set yourself up for success. We will also take a walk and visit the academic buildings (green posture) at social distance. The walk is optional and only if you feel choose to participate. However, if you’re interested in in-person classes, grab your mask and join us…just six feet apart.
Please let us know if you require an accommodation in order to participate in this event. Accommodations may include live captioning, ASL interpreters, and/or captioned media and accessible documents from recorded events. At least 5 days in advance is recommended.
Students should use the ZOOM meeting code; 954 4779 3723 and the provided password.
