About this Event
The University of Pittsburgh’s Clinical and Translational Science Institute, the Urban League of Greater Pittsburgh, the New Pittsburgh Courier, and UPMC’s Center for Engagement and Inclusion work together to deliver quality health education on critical public health topics each month through the Community Health Series Partnership.
In February, the Community Health Series Partnership will focus on fatherhood and the role it plays in health and wellness for both parent and child. We will highlight relevant research around fatherhood, including findings from the Parenting While Black initiative. We will also explore the ways in which engaged fatherhood can reduce the impact of trauma and toxic stress in children.
Join us on February 22nd, as we hear Dr. James Huguley, Dr. Paula Marie Powe, and Angela Tookes, MDiv.
Please let us know if you require an accommodation in order to participate in this event. Accommodations may include live captioning, ASL interpreters, and/or captioned media and accessible documents from recorded events. At least 5 days in advance is recommended.
