Pitt SPARK Funding – Drop-In Office Hours

 

Join the University of Pittsburgh Office of Innovation and Entrepreneurship (OIE) for drop-in office hours focused on the Pitt SPARK innovation funding program.

 

This informal session is your chance to ask questions and get guidance on securing up to $250,000 per year to advance Pitt intellectual property (IP) from the academic lab to the commercial marketplace.

 

  • Program Focus: Funding for Pitt technologies in life sciences addressing human health needs.

  • Funding & Objectives: Up to $250,000 per year to support technical and market de-risking studies and prepare IP for commercialization.

  • Eligibility: Open to Pitt faculty, postdocs, students, and staff. Requires a filed Invention Disclosure and proof-of-concept (not basic research).

  • Program Benefits: Ask about the funding, education, mentoring, and networking through the OIE Community of Innovators.

  • Application Process: Ask questions about the written application, pitch presentation, and key RFP dates.
