Brahms's friendship with Joseph Joachim was one of the most collaborative and productive in the history of music, and Maestro Blachly's long-standing musical friendship with Saint Lawrence String Quartet violinist Owen Dalby goes back many years.  To round out this concert featuring musical friendships, the Johnstown Symphony Orchestra performs Elgar's Enigma Variations, a piece of music composed as a "portrait"of his closest friends.
