Pitt-Johnstown Food For Fines: Eliminate parking fines by donating non-perishable items

This is a past event.

The Student Government Association invites students to submit nonperishable food items to "wipe out" outstanding parking fines.  This semester, we will donate these items to the Family Kitchen in Johnstown in the form of pasta and sauce. Students may drop off the needed items (listed below) between Monday, November 29 and Monday, December 6.

Here is some important information about our process:

A.       This only applies to students who have purchased parking permits.  A student cannot donate items to have any parking fines reduced (including tickets for not having a parking permit) unless they have a current parking permit.  If a student does not have a current parking permit and then purchases one, the voucher can be used for any other outstanding parking fines.  The vouchers will state this stipulation.

B.       This only applies to outstanding parking fines.  A student cannot apply a voucher to any parking fines previously paid.

C.       Various food items will equate to a certain voucher amount. Here is what we need:

3- 16 oz boxes of spaghetti for 5 dollar voucher

2- 24 oz jar of sauce for 5 dollar voucher

65 oz jar of sauce and box of pasta 10 dollar

D.     Students should bring their items into the Campus Activities and Engagement Office in G-61 Union between 9 am and 7pm daily during the collection period.  SGA will deliver the items to the Family Kitchen on behalf of our students.

If you have any questions, please contact the office at 814.269.7065 or drop by G61 Union.
