Members* of Pitt-Greensburg's chapter of the Student Pennsylvania State Education Association (SPSEA) are invited to attend a special workshop featuring children's author and illustrator Lindsay Barrett George who will show how literacy and the arts can link together.

George, an award-winning children's author/illustrator, is widely recognized for her striking illustrations of animals, birds, and fish who seemingly come alive in their habitats and picturesque words that bring stories to life will be visiting campus and surrounding communities sharing her love of storytelling, drawing, and the written word.

This workshop, one of three to be led by George during her visit, offers Academic Village credit and is funded in part by grants from the Pitt Year of Creativity and the Pennsylvania Rural Arts Alliance.

*While the focus of this workshop will be for teachers and students majoring in education, it is open to the campus.
