Registration is now open for CPR Training and Certification (Healthcare Provider BLS Certification) classes to be held March 16 through March 20. Classes are scheduled various times throughout the week, and registrants are asked to indicate which session they will be attending when they register. Only one session is required for certification.

Pitt-Greensburg student and EMT George Panagis will teach the classes. The Healthcare Provider BLS Certification satisfies requirements for nursing and healthcare-related graduate programs (PA, MD, DO, DMD, PharmD, OT, PT, etc.). The sessions are open to anyone in the campus community. Training includes:

  o    Infant / Child / Adult Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
  o    Using Automatic External Defibulators (AEDs)
  o    Infant / Child / Adult choking emergencies
  o    Infant / Child / Adult respiratory arrest 
  o    Narcotic overdose interventions

The cost is $10 per person. Registrants will receive a two-year certification card and a student manual.  Payment can be made to Val (Smith Hall B-5) or George Panagis. Please see your @Pitt email for details on payment options. Locations vary based on date and time and are included in the email.
