Theta Pi, Pitt-Greensburg's chapter of Beta Beta Beta National Honor Society, will host the 2022 Virtual Tri-Beta Northeast-3 District Convention. 

The agenda is as follows:

• 9:00 - 9:15 a.m. Opening Remarks
• 9:20 - 10:50 a.m. Oral Presentations Session 1 and 2 (run concurrently)
• 11:00 - 12:00 p.m. Poster Viewing/ Presentation Session 1 (with YouTube links available beginning 4-8-22)
• 12:00 - 12:45 p.m. Keynote Address: Dr. Michelle Duennes, Ph.D.   
• “Using molecular tools to understand how environmental stressors impact bumble bees”
• 1:15 - 2:15 p.m. Poster Viewing/ Presentation Session 2 (with YouTube links available beginning 4-8-22)
• 2:30 - 3:00 p.m. Mix and Mingle Activity
• 3:00 – 3:15 p.m. Closing Ceremony/Remarks

The main purpose of a district convention is the presentation of student research. Awards will be given for outstanding individual accomplishments.

Beta Beta Beta (TriBeta) is an honor society for students, particularly undergraduates, dedicated to improving the understanding and appreciation of biological study and extending boundaries of human knowledge through scientific research. Since its founding in 1922, more than 200,000 persons have been accepted into lifetime membership, and more than 626 chapters have been established throughout the United States and Puerto Rico.
