Pitt Act Competency Four: Technology for Student Success

Abstract: Recently, higher education has seen a shift in the characteristics of students as Generation Z began attending college, and then, COVID-19 altered all our practices and routines. Because of this, student learning, needs, and expectations have changed, and in turn, advising practice has had to adapt while balancing our own responsibilities. The goal of this session is to provide advisors the space to examine newly observed trends in student behavior and learning. The presentation will provide examples and suggestions for adapting our practice to leverage technology and information to advise students effectively and efficiently.

Presenters: Devin Ulm
