Dr Cathy FitzGerald is a writer and documentary-maker. She's a regular contributor to BBC Radio 4, 3 and the World Service, presenting and producing programmes on subjects including magic carpets, gravedigging and why we like looking at the blue sky. Her audio work has won Arias, Third Coast Festival, Whicker's World Foundation, APA and Prix Marulic awards. She's the author of the 'Pinch Perkins' series of middle grade novels and has a DPhil in the work of Charles Dickens. Radio Times magazine called her ‘one of radio’s most original’ creators.
