"WRITING INTERIORITY"
Interiority--access to the inner life of another person--is one of fiction's main miracles, but how do we make it happen as part of a story, without stalling that story out? We'll look at examples from novels and stories that demonstrate how to make external events land in the minds, bodies, and memories of our characters. Then we'll do a brief writing exercise to practice making these kinds of landings happen on the page.
