Mark Nowak has been making art at the intersection of photography and the written word. During his talk, Nowak will discuss how his artistic practice emerges from experimental photo-texts of Works Progress Administration era books; he will present photo-texts from his previous books as well as his newest collection, …AGAIN, focusing on how images interrogate our hyper-saturated visual landscapes and our unstable contemporary relationships to increasingly erased, whited out, and AI-altered definitions of “the truth.”
